This Saturday, October 29 at 8:00 a.m., the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will host the fourth annual Treasure Chests 5K Run/Walk & Corporate Challenge. Glazer Family Foundation Co-President Darcie Glazer Kassewitz will welcome the nearly 4,000 participants expected for the event, which will support breast cancer research and patient services, benefitting the American Cancer Society, the Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation, the Florida Hospital Foundation, and Moffitt Cancer Center. The race also coincides with the Buccaneers' involvement in the NFL-wide Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which will be celebrated throughout Sunday afternoon's game versus the Oakland Raiders at Raymond James Stadium.

To help kick off the morning, Buccaneers wide receiver Louis Murphy will serve as an honorary starter. Murphy, a native of St. Petersburg, lost his mother, Filomena Murphy, to Metastatic Breast Cancer in 2008. He honors her legacy with his own charitable efforts, and is passionate about supporting the fight against breast cancer and bringing awareness to the cause.

Registration for Saturday's race, which closes at noon today (Wednesday, October 26) and is completed online at Buccaneers.com/treasurechests5k, includes a ticket to Sunday's Buccaneers game, a Treasure Chests 5K t-shirt, a chipped race bib, and a donation to breast cancer research and patient services. The first, second, and third place male and female winners for all age categories will receive medals.

The route for the Treasure Chests 5K Run/Walk & Corporate Challenge winds around Raymond James Stadium. The first 500 people who registered for the race will get even closer to the action, as they will have the opportunity to be part of an on-field halftime experience. Tervis and Coca-Cola are supporting sponsors for Sunday's event. For more information, visit Buccaneers.com/treasurechests5k.
