Halftime Report: Buccaneers vs. Panthers

Recapping the first half of the Buccaneers' Week 17 matchup with the Panthers.

The Buccaneers head into halftime trailing the Panthers, 7-3, in the final game of the regular season.

Tampa Bay got on the board first, establishing a 10-play drive on their opening possession which resulted in a Roberto Aguayo field goal. The Panthers quickly responded, scoring the first touchdown of the game when Jonathan Stewart found the end zone on a two-yard run.

The Buccaneers have turned the ball over twice, with Jameis Winston throwing an interception and losing a fumble. Carolina has given the ball up once, with Keith Tandy picking off Cam Newton.

Winston has completed 12 of 21 passes for 106 yards. Winston needs six more passing yards to become the first quarterback in NFL history to begin their career with back-to-back 4,000-yard seasons. Adam Humphries leads the rem in receiving with seven catches for 57 yards. Jacquizz Rodgers got the start at running back and has 49 yards thus far.

Tandy leads the Buccaneers in tackles with six while Kwon Alexander has four. Robert Ayers and Lavonte David each have sacks.

The Panthers will start the second half on offense.
