Hard Knocks Wish List, Episode 2

A few things we hope to see on the second episode of Hard Knocks.

The second episode of Hard Knocks is right around the corner, and there are already a few storylines we can expect to play out. The Buccaneers released Roberto Aguayo, their second-round draft pick in 2016, and Hard Knocks will likely spend some time digging deeper into the team's decision. The Buccaneers also took the field for their first preseason game, which will certainly be on this week's episode. Here are a few things we hope to see when the second episode of Hard Knocks airs at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15:

  • More Kwon: Kwon Alexander is one of the Bucs' most outspoken personalities. He's all over social media and it doesn't hurt that he's one of the team's star defensive players, either. But the first episode of Hard Knocks didn't have much of Alexander on it. Hard Knocks doesn't always follow the star players; they devote attention to players fighting for a roster spot as well. Hopefully the first episode of Hard Knocks was an anomaly and we get more of Alexander on the second episode.
  • Mike Evans' boxing workouts: Unlike Alexander, Evans was all over the first episode of Hard Knocks. His fellow receiver, DeSeasn Jackson, was featured prominently, too. Evans is a big-time boxing fan – check his Twitter – and spent time in the offseason doing some boxing training. For many on the outside looking in, it would be interesting to see what a top-tier wide receivers' workouts at like, whether or not they include Evans' boxing routine.
  • Kendell Beckwith's rise: The Buccaneers selected Beckwith in the third round and did so knowing that their rookie linebacker could miss time after tearing his ACL at the end of his college career. That should speak volumes about the team's feelings towards him. Beckwith miraculously was able to report on the first day of training camp despite the injury and hasn't missed a beat. He had been the Buccaneers' second-team strong side outside linebacker, but stepped in with the starters after Devante Bond suffered an injury in the Bucs' preseason opener.
  • Traveling to Jacksonville: The Buccaneers are holding joint training camp practices with the Jaguars this week in Jacksonville. The team arrived on Sunday night and is practicing with the Jaguars on Monday and Tuesday before taking the field for a game on Thursday. Hard Knocks airs in the middle of the Buccaneers' road trip, so it will be interesting to see if that's included in the second episode.**
