Katrina Relief Efforts Scheduled for Sept. 18

The Buccaneers will organize relief efforts for victims of Hurricane Katrina at their regular season opener on Sept. 18

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will join in the relief efforts for those affected by Hurricane Katrina, organizing their own aid around the September 18th home opener against the Buffalo Bills at Raymond James Stadium.

Targeting the regular-season opener, rather than Thursday night's preseason finale against Houston, will allow for a more complete and effective aid program. Details regarding the September 18th efforts, including ways in which fans attending the game can help, will be announced next week.
