Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Two-Day Negotiating Period Begins Today at Noon

A look at key dates as free agency looms, with the two-day negotiating period commencing at noon on March 9

Legal Tampering Period

Free agency officially kicks off on Monday with a 52-hour two-day negotiating period before the official start of the new league year on Wednesday. The two-day negotiating period begins on March 9 at 12 p.m. ET. A craze will happen from March 9-11, the period where clubs are permitted to contact and enter into contract negotiations with certified agents of players who will become unrestricted free agents upon the expiration of their 2025 contracts. As is customary, there will be a flood of reports of players agreeing to terms on contracts with new clubs around the NFL. The Buccaneers have various positions of needs, including outside linebacker and inside linebacker, and the club will likely bolster the front seven in both free agency and the draft.

On Wednesday March 11 at 4 p.m., players can officially sign with new teams when the new league year and free agency officially starts. When free agency concludes and veterans have been dispersed, the page turns to the NFL Draft, which begins April 23 in Pittsburgh. Here is the full list of the Bucs' upcoming free agents:
