It's that time of year again! The Buccaneers are gearing up to race for a great cause as the Florida Suncoast Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation hosts the 8th Annual Race for the Cure at Vinoy Park in St. Petersburg on Saturday, October 7.

The Race for the Cure, held annually during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, serves as the major fundraiser both locally and nationwide for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Up to 75 percent of the money raised at the race will remain in the Tampa Bay area to provide breast health education, screening and treatment.

As always, the Buccaneers Women's Organization, as well as the Buccaneers Student Advisory Board, staff members and their families will be participating in the 2006 Race for the Cure. Each year, the Buccaneers team wears t-shirts designed especially for Race for the Cure, and this year will be no different. Shown here, the Buccaneers race team shirt design reflects the organization's support for breast cancer research.
