Tampa Bay Buccaneers to Host Military Appreciation Events Throughout Training Camp

Buccaneers and USAA to Welcome Local Military Families for two exclusive events

On Saturday, July 28 and Saturday, August 4, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and USAA will proudly welcome more than 4,000 active-duty military, retired and veteran service members and their families for two exclusive Military Appreciation events at training camp. Military guests arriving July 28 will include a full practice, special military tributes including the Assisting Veterans of America Support Team Color Guard, which will present the colors.

New this year, military service members will also have the chance to be the first to watch an exclusive team walk-thru and Chalk Talk series with Team Insider Casey Phillips and Buccaneers Director of Football Operations and Super Bowl XXXVII Champion, Shelton Quarles on the evening of August 4.

*All military guests and their family members attending each date have been contacted and provided training camp tickets in advance.

Upon entry at each event, military personnel will receive a Buccaneers Salute to Service pennant, courtesy of USAA, Official Salute to Service Partner of the Buccaneers. The 2018 Buccaneers Cheerleaders will also greet and perform for fans in their patriotic uniforms following the team's opening stretch. During the event, children will also have the chance to climb aboard the Buccaneers Street Team RV and play a variety of football activities inside the Kids Zone. In addition, attendees will also receive complimentary ticket vouchers redeemable for the pre-season game on August 30, when the Buccaneers host the Jacksonville Jaguars.

As part of military appreciation with the Buccaneers, USAA will be hosting "USAA's Salute to Service NFL Boot Camp" on August 14, where 50 active duty military will compete in the same NFL Combine drills used to evaluate NFL talent. This event takes place post-practice and participants will be competing for tickets to the team's Salute to Service game in November.

Each year, the Buccaneers celebrate, recognize, and kick off the season with a special Military Appreciation Day at training camp. The Buccaneers have a long, proud history of supporting the men and women who served or continue to serve our country. During each home game, together with Central Florida USO, the Buccaneers celebrate a Hero of the Game, as well as invite servicemen and servicewomen to cheer on the team from the exclusive Tampa Bay Buccaneers Salute to Service Suite.
