5 Notes for Bucs Against the Falcons | Week 1

In the Buccaneers 23-20 nail-biting victory over the Falcons, five notes stood out for the visiting team

5notes

1. Receiver Emeka Egbuka became the first player to record multiple receiving touchdowns in his NFL debut since Jahan Dotson in 2022. He became just the second Buccaneer to ever accomplish the feat, joining TE Alex Smith in 2005.

2. In his Buccaneers debut, outside linebacker Haason Reddick recorded his first sack of the season, dropping Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. for a 9-yard loss.

3. Bucky Irving now has nine career touchdowns from scrimmage, tied for the second-most among all players from last year's draft class. He leads the class in both scrimmage yards and rushing touchdowns.

4. Kameron Johnson returned a punt 53 yards, marking the team's longest since Bobby Rainey had a 58-yard return on 10/11/15 vs. Jacksonville.

5. Mike Evans surpassed Pro Football Hall of Famer Art Monk (12,721) for the 23rd-most receiving yards in NFL history.
