Bucs-Jaguars Inactives: Nassib, Pierre-Paul Good to Go

inactives

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jacksonville Jaguars named their game-day inactives on Sunday at 11:30 p.m. ET, 90 minutes before kickoff of their Week 13 contest at TIAA Bank Field. NFL teams are required to reduce their active rosters to 46 players for each regular-season game.

Outside linebacker Anthony Nelson and cornerback M.J. Stewart remain out with hamstring and knee injuries, respectively, but outside linebacker Carl Nassib has been cleared to play after missing practice on Friday due to illness. In addition outside linebacker Jason Pierre-Paul will play despite sitting out two of the team's three practices this week with a knee ailment.

On offense, the Buccaneers will be without rookie wide receiver Scotty Miller, who suffered a hamstring strain in practice on Wednesday and was sidelined for the rest of the week. The Buccaneers will have only four active receivers, with second-year man Justin Watson potentially seeing more action. The 46-man spot opened up by Miller's inactivity went to rookie cornerback Mazzi Wilkins, who will have a chance to make his NFL regular-season debut.

The Jaguars, who have already placed three tight ends on injured reserve this season, will also be without Seth DeValve, who had previously started five games. Former Dolphin Nick O'Leary, signed less than two weeks ago, is likely to see extensive action in DeValve's absence. Jacksonville's defense will be without Myles Jack, who sustained a knee injury last week and will sit out a contest for the first time in his four-year NFL career.
