The Tampa Bay Buccaneers began the process of carving a regular-season squad out of their bloated camp roster on Tuesday, trimming 14 players from a list of 89.

One spot was opened by the move of injured quarterback Luke McCown to the reserve/physically unable to perform list. McCown, who suffered a knee injury during a practice in June, will not be eligible to return to the active roster until six weeks of the season have elapsed.

The rest of the roster reduction was accomplished in the most straightforward way possible: 13 cuts. To comply with the NFL-mandated limit of 75 players by 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, the Buccaneers released the following men:
