Each week, fans will have an opportunity to vote for one high school football coach in Hillsborough county as the Buccaneers' Coach of the Week. Candidates will have led their schools to an impressive victory and demonstrated a commitment to fundamentals, player safety, sportsmanship, academic development, and community engagement.
This week's votes have been tallied and the results are in. This week's Buccaneers High School Coach of the Week is Steinbrenner's Andres Perez-Reinaldo.
On September 18th, Steinbrenner downed Sarasota Riverview High School, 38-17, to advance to 5-0 on th season. Perez-Reinaldo is the first coach in Steinbrenner history to open a season with five straight wins. Quarterback Colin Wray led Steinbrenner with 221 passing yards and two touchdowns while running back Jayquese Dantley rushed for 176 yards and two more scores.
Perez-Reinaldo's team will take the field for their next game on October 2nd against Manatee High School at home.
