Rookie running back Josh Williams will be rejoining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the practice field on Tuesday, as will rookie linebacker Nick Jackson.
Williams has completed the six-game suspension handed down to him from the league office on November 12. He can practice with the team this week without counting against the 53-man roster, but he must be activated to the 53-man roster or waived by next Monday.
Jackson was re-signed to the Buccaneers practice squad, where he started the season before being promoted to the active roster on December 9. He was waived last Friday when the team promoted safety J.T. Gray from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. Jackson takes the open spot on the practice squad created by Gray's promotion.
Williams made the Buccaneers' active roster in August as an undrafted free agent out of LSU. He has played in three games this season, logging four carries for 11 yards and five kickoff returns for 129 yards. Including two weeks in which he was elevated from the practice squad for game day, Jackson has also made three appearances this season, with one start, and has contributed one tackle each on defense and special teams.
