Among Pete Prisco's 'NFL Top 100 players for 2025,' five Buccaneers were listed among the prestigious compilation including Tristan Wirfs (20), Baker Mayfield (57), Mike Evans (82), Antoine Winfield Jr. (89) and Bucky Irving (94). Wirfs, who Prisco deems is one of the "best left tackles in the game," was ranked the highest of the bunch and came in as the third offensive tackle on the rundown behind Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata.
Tristan Wirfs, touted as arguably the best left tackle in the game, finished the 2024 regular season with the second-lowest pressure rate allowed (4.7%) among left tackles with at least 200 pass block snaps, down from the 8.0% pressure rate he recorded in 2023. Additionally, Wirfs did not allow a single pressure in four games last season, the only player at his position to do so (min. 25 pass block snaps). The athletic specimen manning Mayfield's blindside became the first-ever first-team All-Pro at right and left tackle, acknowledging his consistency in the trenches.
Mayfield came in on the list behind Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, Jayden Daniels, Justin Herbert and Jalen Hurts. Prisco noted that Mayfield "might be the most underrated quarterback in the league" following his career revival in Tampa Bay. To round out the lauded Bucs crew, Irving became the seventh back on the top 100. Irving's staggering numbers were mentioned, including his 1,122 yards on 207 carries. He took the NFL by storm as a rookie last season, energizing the crowd with his remarkable cutting skills, balance, panoramic vision and short-area quickness.
