The Buccaneers will play at home for the last time until November 10. Before they embark on their seven-week road trip, they'll face off against the New York Giants with a rookie quarterback in Daniel Jones at the helm. They'll also welcome running back Saquon Barkley to Tampa Bay for the first time in his young career.
It'll be up to the defense to shut both of them down - a defense that has let up just one offensive touchdown in eight quarters and has been stout against the run, holding Carolina's Christian McCaffrey to just 37 yards rushing last week.
Also happening during the game will be the induction of Buccaneer-great Ronde Barber into the Ring of Honor during a halftime ceremony. The team, and Head Coach Bruce Arians who is a long-time friend of the Barber family, is aware of the momentous occasion.
"I would hope so, that they would have a little bit more, but each game carries enough weight and significance," Arians said of having a little extra incentive to win this week for Barber. "It'd be just a cherry on the cake to win for him."
